Peculiar
A form of utopia. The calm breeze tickles my skin as if pulling me through the winding lanes and flowered pathways of the village. A blossom tree lies just above us all, using a small hillside on the outskirts of the village as a pedestal. The pale lilac petals blossomed in the sun's radiance but hid in secrecy as it was replaced by the moons gentle gaze. It's a sight one could only imagine or dream of seeing, one I see and marvel over daily. I often walk with my friends lightly tweeting above and behind me, singing their little song to me and the listening world. A few smaller creatures trail behind me as I walk to my well known spot. I often share a small conversation with them as I walk by, I love to hear their little squeaks of appreciation as little and almost silent as they may be. A few other creatures often reply to us as we walk and talk our way through the valley pathways on the outskirts of the village. Perhaps, if I walked at night, a few new faces would join our little troop as we skip our way to the tree. I personally love the conversations I have with the smaller creatures, their stories fascinate me. I enjoy the company of Kai, a small vole who shares tales of his adventures through the woodland surrounding the small distant hill and his ventures to meet me there daily. He usually lies in a small bush just before the hill but has recently took to one a little nearer the village. Him and I often sit at the hills end awaiting any who wish to join us on our little walk, we normally have a small group; A small pine marten called Briar, Emrys a small door mouse, and Rosyn the newborn fallow deer to the doe of the forest nearby.
As I sit, seemingly alone to the rest of the world i am quite content with my wild friends allowing them to scurry along my lap and wind themselves around my neck as we play and share stories with the tree as our meeting point. A small rabbit family, the Blodeuyn's often sit and await my reassurance that they can join.
You see, I seek no comfort in people when all they do is laugh at the company I keep and how I find myself with my curious creatures of the lands. When you find the right company you keep it, or so i've been taught. So I will never seek the company in people who often judge my outings and the small picnics I hold with my friends, as random and extraordinary as we are.
